Scholarship Selection Criteria
$500 Per Semester Up To $1000 Per Year


Applications are open to High School Seniors in Maryland counties Montgomery, Howard, Carroll and Frederick and any High School Senior of a Wildlife Achievement Chapter Member. Applications must be received by April 10 of the current school year. Contact your Guidance Counselor or download this Application.

1.Please submit a short (up to 500 words) essay on your reasons for selecting Conservation or related Environmental Science as your field of study. Include details of your past or present interest, activities and hobbies.

2.Must be a high school Senior.

3.Provide the following from your high school guidance counselor:

  A.Letter of recommendation

  B.Academic transcript

  C.GPA (Grade Point Average)

4.Furnish reference or recommendation from at least two teachers.

5.Selected applicant(s) will be required to meet with the Scholarship Committee. Applicant(s) will be notified by the Committee of the time and place of the meeting. Following these meetings the selected applicant(s) will be notified.

6.Successful applicant(s) will be required to attend a meeting of the Wildlife Achievement Chapter to receive their award.
